Meet Our Muses

@ivy.briana Meet Ivy

"You just glow differently, you know, with a fresh twist out."

Curls & Confidence
  1. Wash and condition with your favorite Paul Mitchell® shampoo and conditioner.
  2. Part hair into four sections. Start with a center part to the highest point of the head. Then from the highest point of the head to right behind the ear on both sides. Separate the back of the head into two.
  3. Starting in the back, take a 1-inch horizontal section, then take a vertical piece to create a square section.
  4. Apply Sculpting Foam® to this section and split the square section of hair into two equal halves.
  5. Begin to twist each section in opposite directions, one clockwise and the other counterclockwise.
  6. Take the two strands and twist them around each other like a rope braid; repeat until all hair is twisted.
  7. Place under a hood dryer for at least an hour to allow hair to set.
  8. Once hair is completely dry, apply a small amount of Gloss Drops® and begin to untwist each section, starting from the bottom of each one.
  9. Finish by expanding curls and creating your desired shape.
  10. Lock in the style with Extra-Body Finishing Spray® for a soft, touchable and lasting hold.

Braided Space Buns
  1. Wash and condition with your favorite Paul Mitchell® shampoo and conditioner.
  2. Using your Express Ion Dry®+, guide the length of your hair in a downward motion using the 413 Sculpting Brush and focus on smoothing the ends for polish.
  3. Create a center part and divide into two sections from the top of the head to just behind the ear. Clip hair at the back of the head up for control.
  4. Take one of the front sections and apply ESP Elastic Shaping Paste. Brush the hair into a ponytail using a Teasing Brush, and lightly mist Soft Spray® to tame and create a smooth finish.
  5. Secure ponytail at the base with an elastic and braid into a three-strand braid; secure ends with an elastic.
  6. Take one braid and wrap it around itself to create a braided bun; secure with a bobby pin. Repeat on the opposite side.
  7. From the back section, take two smaller sections at the top of the head. Divide into two and create two braids. Secure both with an elastic at the ends.
  8. With remaining hair in the back, brush hair into a ponytail using a Teasing Brush and a light mist of Soft Spray®.
  9. Taking a small section of hair from the bottom of your ponytail, wrap it around the base to cover hairbands and elastics for a seamless finish.
  10. With the two smaller braids, shape and create the braid details in the front. Bobby pin the ends to secure into place, then mist with Soft Spray®.
